Abstract
Purpose
Based on the “S-O-R” and attachment theories, this paper constructs a research model of the platform attribute factors of sports short video live e-commerce on consumers' psychological conditions, and explores how platform attributes affect consumer behavior through consumer attachment.
Design/methodology/approach
The study carried out questionnaire survey through the “snowball” method, and a total of 422 valid questionnaires were collected. The paper uses SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 to adapt the data and model, and adopts the method of structural equation modeling for analysis.
Findings
The research results show that the interactivity, identity, personalization and entertainment of live sports e-commerce platforms can actively stimulate consumer attachment, and directly drive their consumption behavior through their attachment.
Practical implications
Examining the platform attributes and system functions of short video live broadcast e-commerce from the perspective of consumer attachment can help sports e-commerce understand consumers' needs and satisfaction with the functions provided by the platform. Through timely optimization and improvement of system functions, the platform will make the connection between consumers and e-commerce closer, thereby increasing consumer stickiness and promoting the vigorous development of sports e-commerce.
Originality/value
This study identified and defined the platform attributes contained in the sports live broadcast e-commerce platform, combined the S-O-R model with the attachment theory, expanded the analytical framework of the S-O-R theory and made contributions to the extension of the attachment theory.

Abstract
Purpose
The sudden COVID-19 epidemic in 2019 has frustrated China's overall economy, and the implementation and development of the National Fitness Program has encountered huge obstacles. At a new historical starting point, in order to realize the dream of becoming a powerful country in sports, it is necessary to transform the successful experience gained since the reform and opening up into regular understanding and systematic theories, so as to make a theoretical response to the new contradictions and challenges faced in development and give full play to the National Fitness has comprehensive values and multiple functions in improving people's health, promoting people's all-round development, promoting economic and social development and demonstrating the country's cultural soft power.
Design/methodology/approach
Taking the topic of national fitness as an example, this paper sets out from the three dimensions of knowledge input, knowledge output and knowledge production, using citation analysis, social network analysis, co-word analysis and cluster analysis, to measure the characteristics and knowledge structure of interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
Findings
China's national fitness is still in the primary development stage, and the strong boost of the national top-level policy is the biggest driving force of its development, driven by the policy together with the settlement of many major events, constantly improving and enriching the wings. The main body of knowledge production on the topic of national fitness is mainly colleges and universities, with low participation of government and enterprises, high degree of cooperation among authors, obvious interdisciplinary characteristics and strong application of research themes.
Originality/value
This study provides a strong theoretical basis for the promotion of the Healthy China strategy. Especially under the influence of COVID-19, this paper can contribute to the comprehensive value and multimodal functions of national fitness in improving the health of people, promoting economic and social development and demonstrating the soft power of national culture.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to apply the dynamic capability view to identify relationships between human capital (HC), supply chain integration (SCI) and firm’s performance. It also examines the moderating effect of product variety (PV) on these relationships in the context of omni-channel retailing (OCR).
Design/methodology/approach
An empirical study was conducted based on survey research. In total, 230 retailers in China’s market adopting omni-channel strategy were surveyed to examine the hypotheses proposed in our conceptual model using statistical techniques.
Findings
This study reveals that HC has a positive impact on SCI, and the impact of employees’ capital is greater on the success of SCI than that of managers’ capital. Moreover, the results confirm that SCI facilitates the achievement of superior performance. Organization integration contributes the most to performance improvement in OCR. Additionally, this study identifies the positive moderating effect of PV on the relationship between HC and SCI, while the moderating effect is insignificant to the influence of SCI on performance.
Research limitations/implications
We obtained valuable insights for both academicians and practitioners. On the one hand, this could be an early attempt as an interdisciplinary study to empirically analyze supply chain management in OCR from human resource perspective. It reveals the importance of human resource management (HRM) and the contribution of SCI to OC retailers. Therefore, this study fills current research gaps. On the other hand, this study provides several practical insights to top management: the importance of improving an individual’s competency to sustain a retailer’s dynamic capability; and the importance of strengthening the organization’s integration to better achieve effective SCI in OCR. Additionally, this study proposes future research based on its limitations.
Originality/value
SCI is investigated in the context of OCR from the HRM perspective. Moreover, this study reveals the importance of HRM and discusses the moderator’s effect in OCR.

Abstract
Purpose
Supply chain integration (SCI) is key to implementing omni-channel retailing (OCR) strategy. In this paper, the authors explore the role of digitalization as a driver of SCI, as well the role of human capital (HC) in digitalization, using a knowledge management (KM) perspective.
Design/methodology/approach
An empirical study was conducted using survey research. A sample of 188 omni-channel retailers in the Chinese market was analyzed using factor analysis and structured equation modeling (SEM) to examine the hypotheses presented in the conceptual model.
Findings
This study reveals that HC is positively related to the level of a firm's digitalization in OCR, and that digitalization is positively related to the retailer's SCI. Moreover, the authors found that employees' capital has a greater impact on digitalization than managers' capital, while digitalization has a stronger driving effect on internal and customer integration.
Research limitations/implications
The findings suggest that although digitalization requires retailers to accept the long-term investment challenges, it has a significant positive effect on the key of OCR strategy implementation, i.e. SCI. The findings also provide evidence for the application of KM in OCR, as this theoretical lens enriches our understanding of the phenomena of SCI in OCR and provides explanation to our results by linking digitalization and HC.
Originality/value
Digitalization is quantified and examined in OCR. Moreover, this study reveals the importance of HC on the implementation of digitalization and the different effects of digitalization on each dimension of SCI.

Abstract
Most offender narrative being studied has been in oral forms, produced in the reciprocal process of researcher-(ex) offender interviews. This chapter offers an introduction to a variation of offender narrative study within the prison and rehabilitation context: the narrative of written autobiography. Since the early 1940s, Chinese reform institutions have required written autobiographies from new admitters, provided with clear presubscripted guidelines of instructions as well as postcensorship. For this chapter, we trace back and analyse this model based on 28 prisoners' autobiographies in mainland China between 2007 and 2009, as well as archive documents in different historical periods. We have found that the mandatory offender autobiographies are highly functional writings with clear requirements that embody the existing power structure. We have also found considerable commonality with findings in Western contexts on the presence and problems of narrative compliance in rehabilitation. We argue that narrative criminology should further engage in understanding the practice of narrative censorship and co-authorship in criminal justice processes, as it takes on different forms in different historical–social contexts.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the tribological properties of Si3N4 sliding against Dy−sialon ceramics lubricated by two novel phosphazenes bridged fluorophenoxycyclotriphosphazene (coded as L‐2P) and metal halide‐stabilized linear phosphazene derivatives (coded as LMZn‐3). The traditional phosphazene tetrakis (3‐trifluoromethylphenoxy)‐bis(4‐fluorophenoxy) – cyclotriphosphazene (X‐1P) was also tested as the reference.
Design/methodology/approach
The lubricity characteristics of phosphazene derivatives were evaluated on an Optimol SRV oscillating friction and wear tester. The morphology of the worn sialon surface was analyzed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscope (XPS).
Findings
The two novel phosphazenes are effective lubricants for Dy−sialon and show superior tribological properties to traditional phosphazene X‐1P and glycerol. Among all lubricants, linear phosphazene LMZn‐3 exhibits the lowest wear volume loss at 20°C or 100°C. Moreover, LMZn‐3 and L‐2P show much better antiwear ability than X‐1P under higher load than 60N. The decreased friction coefficient and wear volume of Dy−sialon ceramics under lubrication of the phosphazene lubricants are attributed to the tribochemical products mainly consisting of organic oxyfluoride or carbonfluoride species and silicon fluoride.
Research limitations/implications
The paper deals with only limited compounds. The paper works on the subject progressively to explore more combinations for better tribological properties.
Practical implications
The phosphazene derivatives present better tribological performance used as base oils and additives.
Originality/value
There are few data about other phosphazene with different structures, such as bridged cyclotriphosphazene and metal halide‐stabilized linear phosphazene, used as lubricants for ceramics materials.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper presents an overview of the recent development of Eurasian rail freight in the Belt and Road era and further evaluates its service quality in terms of transit times and transport costs compared to other transport modes in containerised supply chains between Europe and China.
Design/methodology/approach
A trade-off model of transit time and transport costs based on quantitative data from primary and secondary sources is developed to demonstrate the market niche for Eurasian rail freight vis-a-vis the more established modes of transport of sea, air and sea/air. In a scenario analysis, further cargo attributes influencing modal choice are employed to show for which cargo type Eurasian rail freight service is favourable from a shipper's point of view.
Findings
At present, Eurasian rail freight is about 80% less expensive than air freight with only half of the transit time of conventional sea freight. Our scenario analysis further suggests that for shipping time-sensitive goods with lower cargo value ranging from $US1.23/kg to $US10.89/kg as well as goods with lower time sensitivity and higher value in a range of $US2.46/kg to $US21.78/kg, total logistics costs of Eurasian rail freight service rail is cheaper than all other modes of transport.
Practical implications
As an emerging competitive solution, Eurasian rail freight demonstrates to be an option beneficial in terms of transport cost, transit time, reliability and service availability, which offers a cost-efficient option enabling shippers to build up agile and more sustainable supply chains between China and Europe.
Originality/value
Our study firstly provides a comprehensive assessment of present Eurasian rail freight including a thorough comparison with alternative modes of transport from a shipper's point of view.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of China’s Food Safety Law on its food industry.
Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of China’s Food Safety Law on its food industry.
Design/methodology/approach
First, an event study is employed to investigate the impact of regulatory changes on the food industry. Then the authors examine the association between the magnitude of cumulative abnormal returns (CARs) and firm characteristics in a cross-sectional regression framework.
Findings
The results suggest that the announcements of some important events during the legislative process do affect the investors’ expectations. Further analysis shows that some sub-industries, especially the dairy industry, underperform the others around the enforcement date of the Food Safety Law, indicating that investors expect more costs of compliance for the sub-industries with lower levels of food safety. Moreover, CARs are found to be positively correlated with firm size, implying that larger firms may benefit more from this food legislative reform than small ones.
Practical implications
Measuring the impact of regulatory changes on food producers and investors by stock market response could help regulators assess the effectiveness of regulation and amend the law accordingly.
Originality/value
Previous studies seldom empirically examine the effect of Food Safety Laws on China’s food industry and this study attempts to fill this gap, which contributes to extending the understanding of the impact of legislative reform or regulatory changes on related industries.
