Abstract
Purpose
The paper examines the intent to adopt blockchain-facilitated Halal traceability (BFHT) scheme in Indonesian firms' Halal food supply chain (SC). This study integrates Halal-focused attitude, innovation diffusion and institutional theories to construct the model.
Design/methodology/approach
Data collection uses a simple random sampling method. Respondents are company leaders with experience and knowledge regarding Halal SC. The SEM-PLS approach was applied to test the hypothetical structure.
Findings
The intent to adopt BFHT is considerably affected by perceived attractiveness, as perceived attractiveness is considerably affected by institutional forces, which are significantly influenced by Halal-focused attitude. Firms that follow a completely Halal-focused attitude show higher awareness regarding institutional forces that motivate them to adopt a BFHT.
Originality/value
This research is among the initial works regarding Halal SCs that integrate Halal-focused attitude, innovation diffusion and institutional theories to recognise firms' intent to adopt a BFHT scheme.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to propose a semiempirical and semitheoretical cyclic compaction constitutive model of coarse-grained soil filler for the high-speed railway (HSR) subgrade under cyclic load.
Design/methodology/approach
According to the basic framework of critical state soil mechanics and in view of the characteristics of the coarse-grained soil filler for the HSR subgrade to bear the train vibration load repeatedly for a long time, the hyperbolic empirical relationship between particle breakage and plastic work was derived. Considering the influence of cyclic vibration time and stress ratio, the particle breakage correction function of coarse-grained soil filler for the HSR subgrade under cyclic load was proposed. According to the classical theory of plastic mechanics, the shearing dilatation equation of the coarse-grained soil filler for the HSR subgrade considering particle breakage was modified and obtained. A semiempirical and semitheoretical cyclic compaction constitutive model of coarse-grained soil filler for the HSR subgrade under cyclic load was further established. The backward Euler method was used to discretize the constitutive equation, build a numerical algorithm of “elastic prediction and plastic modification” and make a secondary development of the program to solve the cyclic compaction model.
Findings
Through the comparison with the result of laboratory triaxial test under the cyclic loading of coarse-grained soil filler for the HSR subgrade, the accuracy and applicability of the cyclic compaction model were verified. Results show that the model can accurately predict the cumulative deformation characteristics of coarse-grained soil filler for the HSR subgrade under the train vibration loading repeatedly for a long time. It considers the effects of particle breakage and stress ratio, which can be used to calculate and analyze the stress and deformation evolution law of the subgrade structure for HSR.
Originality/value
The research can provide a simple and practical method for calculating deformation of railway under cyclic loading.

Abstract
Purpose
In this study, the purpose has been to investigate a novel pathway for the synthesis of high performance diketopyrrolopyrrole pigments (DPPs) using diethyl succinate under microwave irradiation in the presence of ionic liquid (1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, [BMIM][BF4]), as a novel medium.
Design/methodology/approach
Rapid synthesis of DPPs was achieved in [BMIM][BF4] as well as in dry medium under microwave irradiation based on succinate ester condensation with benzonitrile derivatives. The obtained results were compared with those of conventional method as well as Reformatsky route under microwave irradiation. The obtained pigments were characterized and their optical properties and the morphologies were investigated.
Findings
This study provides a novel approach to the synthesis of DPP pigments in a flash time with comparatively good yields.
Research limitations/implications
DPPs have been synthesized via succinate ester route in ionic liquid media. Besides, they can also be synthesized based on Reformatsky method in ionic liquid media.
Practical implications
The developed method provides a simple and practical solution to improving the rapid synthesis of DPP pigments, with regard to their traditional application in many different industries, such as paints, inks, and plastics, as well as in electronic devices, LEDs, and laser dyes.
Originality/value
The method for synthesis of DPP pigments via succinate ester route in ionic liquid under microwave irradiation in a flash time was novel and could find applications in DPP pigments' industries.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to provide an investigation on a new kind of adsorbent materials, namely, the Prussian blue analog (PBA)-loaded albite-base porous ceramic foam, which can effectively adsorb the heavy metal ion in the wastewater.
Design/methodology/approach
The natural zeolite powder has been used as the primary raw material to make a sort of porous ceramic foam by impregnating polymer foam in slurry and then sintering. Adjusting the technological parameters could control the bulk density of the ceramic product, which could float on water with the bulk density less than 1 g/cm3 and also sink in water with the bulk density higher than 1 g/cm3. After desilicating the porous ceramic foam, an Al-Fe type PBA with a strong function of ion exchange was loaded on the ceramic surface by directly yielding.
Findings
The adsorption performance for harmful metal ions was greatly improved by combining together the high adsorption capability of the PB analog and the efficient high specific surface area of the porous ceramic foam.
Originality/value
This work presents a PBA-loaded albite-base porous ceramic foam that can effectively adsorb the harmful substance in water, and the adsorption efficiency for some typical harmful ions, i.e., Cd2+, Cs+ and As(V), was examined under different conditions of the experimental period, the pH value and the ion concentration in the tested solution.

Abstract
Purpose
Abnormal behaviors such as rework, backlog, changes and claims generated by project organizations are unavoidable in complex projects. When abnormal behaviors emerge, the previously normal state of interactions between organizations will be altered to some extent. However, previous studies have ignored the associations and interactions between organizations in the context of abnormal organizational behaviors (AOBs), making this challenging to cope with AOBs. As a result, the objective of this paper is to explore how to reduce AOBs in complex projects at the organizational level from a network perspective.
Design/methodology/approach
To overcome the inherent limitations of a single case study, this research integrated two data collection methods: questionnaire survey and expert scoring method. The questionnaire survey captured the universal data on the influence possibility of AOBs between complex project organizations and the expert scoring method got the influence probability scores of AOBs between organizations in the case. Using these data, four organizational influence network models of AOBs based on a case were developed to demonstrate how to destroy AOBs networks in complex projects using network attack theory (NAT).
Findings
First, the findings show that controlling AOBs generated by key organizations preferentially and improving the ability of key organizations can weaken AOBs network, enabling more effective coping strategies. Second, the owners, government, material suppliers and designers are identified as key organizations across all four influence networks of AOBs. Third, change and claim behaviors are more manageable from the organizational level.
Practical implications
Project managers can target specific organizations for intervention, weaken the AOBs network by applying NAT and achieve better project outcomes through coping strategies. Additionally, by taking a network perspective, this research provides a novel approach to comprehending the associations and interactions between organizations in the context of complex projects.
Originality/value
This paper proposes a new approach to investigating AOBs in complex projects by simultaneously examining rework, backlog, change and claim. Leveraging NAT as a novel tool for managing the harmful effects of influence networks, this study extends the knowledge body in the field of organizational behavior (OB) management and complex project management.

Purpose
The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the feasibility of implementing a tracking based inventory management system in temporary storage locations of a project delivery chain. To describe the use of tracking based inventory information for improved logistics control in equipment delivery and installation.
Design/methodology/approach
A solution design experiment was carried out in 16 temporary storage locations with one original equipment manufacturer and four installation partners.
Findings
It is feasible to implement tracking based inventory management in temporary storage locations. The challenge is to ensure that installation partners adopt the system. The benefit is improved logistics control of equipment delivery and installation for the original equipment manufacturer.
Research limitations/implications
Tracking information is more useful than conventional stock keeping in project delivery. By monitoring the dwell time of delivery items it is possible to identify and resolve problems in project execution.
Practical implications
Inventory management in temporary storage locations help project management, project logistics, and central logistics organizations carry out their work more effectively. Implementation can be based on tracking.
Originality/value
The paper's value lies in empirical tests and evaluation of tracking based inventory management in temporary storage locations.

Abstract
Purpose
The COVID-19 outbreak has worsened the issues of obesity and overweight in Indonesia. Technologies related to mHealth are becoming more popular for its capability to lessen obesity, if enabled by patient-focussed consultation. The paper assesses influential determinants of medium workout for obese and overweight adults post-COVID-19.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 1,171 participants who self-stated being overweight and called on a health professional in the previous year are chosen using cross-sectional survey. Participants stated their mHealth tracking behaviours, viewpoints regarding obesity, bodily activities and consultation post-COVID-19 epidemic. This study uses structural equation modelling to assess inter-variables relationships.
Findings
Patient–professional e-consultation is substantially related to mHealth tracking adoption and transformations in adults' obesity-associated viewpoints, forecasting adequate workout post-COVID-19. The results indicate the necessity of patient-focussed consultation meetings to incorporate communications about mHealth technology and available techniques of joining in bodily activities.
Originality/value
The research is the first effort to assess primary information from obese and overweight Indonesian adults post-COVID-19 epidemic (January–July 2022). The population can take advantage of pointed health interferences employing mHealth innovations. The results propose that health professionals must involve patients through mHealth technologies and attempt to enhance digital health knowledge to advance bodily activities nationally.

Purpose
This study seeks to comprehend if political exposure containing disapproval and different values will affect implicit knowledge sharing (KS) amongst colleagues in the organization. This research examines participants' responses to a colleague's social-media political exposure and their readiness to perform implicit KS to their colleague.
Design/methodology/approach
Data collection uses an online questionnaire and a vignette approach. Subsequently, data analysis for 316 finished surveys employs structural equation modelling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS).
Findings
The findings show that the perceived-value similarity of political posts of a colleague significantly and indirectly affects workers' readiness to do implicit KS. Besides, likes and trusts also significantly affect workers' readiness to perform implicit KS. While perceived-value similarity strongly shapes likes, likes significantly and positively affect trusts.
Originality/value
Sharing social-media postings associated with political exposure can hinder the implicit KS in organizations and is understudied in the field of knowledge management. Especially, unlike this study which focuses on private companies, previous studies have paid more attention to public enterprises. Besides, this paper's empirical verification is obtained from private organizations in Indonesia, which is also neglected by scholars.

Tracking of shipments is an important element of customer service in the transportation industry; and essential for logistics services as merge‐in‐transit. However, contemporary tracking systems are designed for use within a single company, and are thus invariably inadequate for multi‐company environments. The single company focus has led to a reduced span of monitoring and a diluted accessibility of information due to proprietary tracking codes and information architectures centred on the tracking service provider. This paper presents a novel forwarder‐independent approach for solving the difficulties of tracking in multi‐company supply networks. The research argues that the proposed tracking approach is superior to contemporary approaches for material flow tracking in short‐term multi‐company distribution networks.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper seeks to discover whether the technical, organisational and technology acceptance model (TAM) factors will significantly affect the adoption of blockchain technology (ABT) amongst SMEs.
Design/methodology/approach
The research employs structural equation modelling (SEM) and a machine learning approach to identify factors influencing the ABT behaviour that leaders can use to predict the prospect of the ABT in their enterprises. Information was collected from 255 respondents representing 166 SMEs in the food industry, Palestine.
Findings
The analyses reveal that the ABT is positively and significantly shaped by TAM factors: (1) perceived benefits and (2) perceived ease of using blockchain. Simultaneously, the former is significantly influenced by compatibility and upper management support, while the latter is affected by complexity. Finally, education and training affect both factors.
Originality/value
This paper is amongst the first attempts to examine the ABT behaviour in the food industry using the integration of SEM and machine learning approach.
