Education transmits knowledge and abilities that are essential for any society’s socioeconomic progress. It improves the quality of life by providing both individuals and civilizations with several advantages. In this regard, women’s education is critical as they spend longer time with children than men. Despite the fact that education plays an immense role in overall wellbeing of society, in India, there are fewer educational opportunities available to young women than to young men. The gender bias that persists in Indian education and professional training is evident even in the richest countries in the world. In this regard, this study focuses on this intergenerational transmission of knowledge from the mother to her progenies in Karimganj District of Assam using the data from the household level primary survey. This study examines mothers’ educational profiles and ascertains the extent to which their education influence their children’s educational attainments. The results show that woman’s education has a direct role in enhancing the overall welfare of children and, thus, indirectly improves the economic status of the family. The results provide definite causal connections between a mother’s education and children’s educational attainment.

Ostensibly the case is about an employee resigning from the organization due to lack of support, job clarity, and information about reporting structure. It addresses issues of socialization process, performance appraisal, and communication issue between colleagues in a consulting organization. The case serves as medium for diagnosis and action planning around integration of new employees into the organization, effective performance appraisal, and resolving communication barriers.

This study aims to assess tribal women’s health information literacy in their daily lives. The specific objectives are to determine the tribe’s interest and frequency of seeking health-related information, to know their preferred health information sources and health-care methods for treatment and to find out the prospective barriers to searching for and finding health-related information.

A well-structured questionnaire was designed and surveyed among the tribal women of Khagrachhari, Bandarban and Mymensingh districts in Bangladesh. Stratified sampling was used, and 326 responses were retrieved. The collected data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20 and Microsoft Excel.

Most of the tribal women are satisfied with their current health condition. Though they are highly interested in health-related information, they are very unusual in terms of searching for this kind of information. Vaccination information is their most desired information, and allopathic treatment is highly preferred by them. In this regard, they consult with doctors at nearby community clinics or government hospitals for different health issues. However, health information terminologies are often difficult for them to understand. High costs, lack of awareness and distance from health centers are significant barriers for tribal women seeking health-related information.

To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first known effort in a developing country to study tribal women’s concerns regarding health-related issues.
