Abstract
The construction sector has significantly evolved in recent decades, in parallel with a huge increase in the amount of data generated and exchanged in any construction project. These data need to be managed in order to complete a successful project in terms of quality, cost and schedule in the the context of a safe project environment while appropriately organising many construction documents.
However, the origin of these data is very diverse, mainly due to the sector’s characteristics. Moreover, these data are affected by uncertainty, complexity and diversity due to the imprecise nature of the many factors involved in construction projects. As a result, construction project data are associated with large, irregular and scattered datasets.
The objective of this chapter is to introduce an approach based on a fuzzy multi-dimensional model and on line analytical processing (OLAP) operations in order to manage construction data and support the decision-making process based on previous experiences. On one hand, the proposal allows for the integration of data in a common repository which is accessible to users along the whole project’s life cycle. On the other hand, it allows for the establishment of more flexible structures for representing the data of the main tasks in the construction project management domain. The incorporation of this fuzzy framework allows for the management of imprecision in construction data and provides easy and intuitive access to users so that they can make more reliable decisions.

Abstract
We present a critical literature review debating Brazilian research on social and environmental accounting (SEA). The aim of this study is to understand the role of politics in the construction of hegemonies in SEA research in Brazil. In particular, we examine the role of hegemony in relation to the co-option of SEA literature and sustainability in the Brazilian context by the logic of development for economic growth in emerging economies. The methodological approach adopts a post-structural perspective that reflects Laclau and Mouffe’s discourse theory. The study employs a hermeneutical, rhetorical approach to understand and classify 352 Brazilian research articles on SEA. We employ Brown and Fraser’s (2006) categorizations of SEA literature to help in our analysis: the business case, the stakeholder–accountability approach, and the critical case. We argue that the business case is prominent in Brazilian studies. Second-stage analysis suggests that the major themes under discussion include measurement, consulting, and descriptive approach. We argue that these themes illustrate the degree of influence of the hegemonic politics relevant to emerging economics, as these themes predominantly concern economic growth and a capitalist context. This paper discusses trends and practices in the Brazilian literature on SEA and argues that the focus means that SEA avoids critical debates of the role of capitalist logics in an emerging economy concerning sustainability. We urge the Brazilian academy to understand the implications of its reifying agenda and engage, counter-hegemonically, in a social and political agenda beyond the hegemonic support of a particular set of capitalist interests.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to expand the understanding of the type of strategies that can be successful for firms located in the South to get integrated and compete in modern export fruit markets.
Design/methodology/approach
To achieve the research purpose of the paper the authors carry out an in-depth case study. They analyze the export strategy of Patagonian Fruits Trade, an Argentinean leading exporter of apple, pear and kiwi.
Findings
Results revealed that Patagonian Fruits Trade developed a strategy focused on supplying decommoditization to compete in modern fruit export markets. A key aspect of the firms' business model relies on its capability to meet the demand of high-income markets by providing conventional, organic and biodynamic club varieties. However, the sustainability of the strategy heavily relies on the firm's capability to fund club varieties' licenses and on the firm's ability to negotiate with clients and suppliers.
Research limitations/implications
Adopting a case study method limits the generalization of results. However, it provides new insights into the type of export strategies that can be successful in modern fruit markets as well as its main limitations.
Originality/value
Results of the study, based on original empirical evidence, shed light on key factors for the integration of Southern fruit producers into modern fruit markets.

Abstract
This chapter's objective is to analyze, with a long-term perspective, the formation of an entrepreneurial culture in Mexico's Midwest, specifically in the state of Jalisco, in terms of the geographical environment, the culture in general, and the local economic institutions that, when viewed interconnectedly, will globally impact the practices, representations, and imaginaries of persons who at a given time have made the decision to undertake profitable economic activities – individual and collective entrepreneurs, in other words. To this end, we have divided the text into two sections. In the first, we conceptually review what we understand as entrepreneurial culture; in principle, we deconstruct its terms and then conjugate them from a social science perspective. We also emphasize the importance of studying the milieu as a scenario of action with different arenas, where a variety of agents have been involved. In the second part, without sidelining conceptual analysis, we present concrete empirical evidence of the role played by culture and local economic institutions that shape entrepreneurial culture in Midwestern Mexico over time, specifically in Jalisco. The text ends with some final considerations.

Abstract
Purpose
Most available studies focus mainly on Islamic economics and finance with none conducted on Islamic marketing bibliometrics. The purpose of this paper is to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Journal of Islamic Marketing (JIMA) in 2020 by evaluating the publication pattern and scientific advancement of JIMA between 2010 and 2020.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper used bibliometric analysis and visualization of similarities viewer software for the graphical conception of the bibliographic data, including bibliographic coupling, co-citation and co-occurrence of keywords.
Findings
There was an increase in the number of journal documents and this depicts a rising interest in the submission of articles. Moreover, the number of conceptual papers received has also increased and this shows JIMA’s support for knowledge development in Islamic marketing. Meanwhile, Halal is one of the currently trending topics, therefore, there is an opportunity for more exploration and research on the concept.
Research limitations/implications
The bibliographical material applied in this study was only retrieved from the Scopus database. Therefore, more studies need to be conducted by incorporating other indexing and database in the scientific field of Islamic marketing.
Practical implications
The research is useful to understand queries related to scientific products such as the number of publications, contributors, keywords, countries and institutions often used in the articles of the journal.
Originality/value
It presented an exclusive bibliometrics analysis and identified the main trend of the publications in the journal from 2010 when it was established until the second issue of volume 11 in 2020.

Abstract
Purpose
Journal of Enterprise Information Management (JEIM) is a leading journal that publishes studies on applied information management relevant to industry personals, academicians and researchers. This study uses bibliometric tools to present a retrospective analysis of the journal's outcomes.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors applied bibliometric tools for analysing the impact, topic coverage, renowned authors with affiliation, citation, methodology and analysis of the JEIM corpus. Additionally, they used bibliographic coupling to develop a graphical visualisation and analyse the journal's thematic evolution.
Findings
With 16 yearly articles, JEIM contributed 656 research articles on various themes. The major themes that have come to define the JEIM over this time include information and systems, supply chain management, manufacturing resource planning, communication technologies and small- to medium-sized enterprises. Empirical methodology, quantitative techniques with descriptive analysis and regression methods are the most preferred. The article's primary research purpose shows the majority of theory-verifying articles. Co-authorship analysis reveals that the single-author trend is decreasing and the journal now has articles with international collaborations.
Originality/value
This study is the retrospective analysis of the JEIM, which is useful for aspiring contributors and the journal's editors.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the circumstances that have conditioned the development of education in Spain from the enlightenment to the present day.
Design/methodology/approach
Multidisciplinary scientific approach that combines the interpretation of the legal texts with the revision of the doctrinal and theoretical contributions made on the issue.
Findings
From the beginning of the nineteenth century, the history of education in Spain has been marked by constant fluctuations between the reactionary instincts, principally maintained by the Catholic Church and the conservative social classes, and the progressive experiments, driven by the enlightened and the liberals first, and the republicans and the socialists later. As a consequence of that, the fight for finishing with illiteracy and guaranteeing universal schooling underwent permanent advances and retreats, preventing from an effective modernization of the Spanish educative system. On the one hand, renewal projects promoted by teachers and pedagogues were inevitably criticized by the ecclesiastical hierarchy, obsessed with the idea of preserving the influence of religion on the schools. On the other hand, successive governments were weak in implementing an educational policy which could place Spain at the level of the other European and occidental nations.
Originality/value
At the dawn of the twenty-first century, although the country has overcome a good part of its centuries-old backwardness, increasing economic difficulties and old ideological splits keep hampering the quality of teaching, gripped by neoliberal policies which undermine the right to education for all. The reading of this paper offers various historical clues to understand this process.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to accomplish a bibliometric analysis, investigate the underlying knowledge structure, founding and development, and evolution of the Journal of Knowledge Management (JKM) through its articles published between 1997 and 2020.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 1,346 research papers from JKM were selected and VantagePoint® software was used to generate bubble maps, auto-correlation maps, and matrix maps through techniques such as principal component analysis (PCA) and natural language processing (NLP). The analysis gives insights about the foundation of knowledge structure, its evolution and the development of JKM.
Findings
The systematic mapping of research illustrates topics emerging as new offshoots, global favourites, saturated and plateaued and reached academic maturity. The USA, the UK, Australia, Spain, Italy, China, Canada, Germany, and France have contributed the most to JKM. This paper provides a robust roadmap for future research investigation of JKM.
Research limitations/implications
The authors humbly admit the possibility of overlooking some research papers while evaluating and filtering the database of JKM. The research outcome summarizes 23 years, subject to information retrieval from archival files.
Practical implications
This research is a detailed bibliometric analysis explaining paradigm shifts in the body of knowledge of JKM. The bibliometric outcomes can act as beacons for future researchers and academicians to revisit the current trends that shape the domain of knowledge management, particularly for the JKM audience with a focus on contemporary topics of research interest.
Originality/value
This is a unique endeavour to accomplish a systematic bibliometric analysis of the JKM for two decades, offering insights about its structural body of knowledge through an overview of the chronology of scholarly development in the field of knowledge management.
