Abstract
Purpose
The objective of this study was to assess the incorporation of polyunsaturated omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids in the eggs of Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) fed with soybean, flaxseed and shark liver oils, as well as to assess their effects on the chemical composition and lipid quality of the yolks.
Design/methodology/approach
The total of 252 units of quails were distributed in a completely randomized design with seven treatments and six replications, totaling 42 experimental design units. The sources of oils and their inclusions in the experimental diet were 2% of soybean oil (S), 2% of flaxseed oil (L) and 2% shark liver oil (T), obtained from the species Carcharhinus acronotus, and the mixtures of 1% S + 1% L (SL); 1% S + 1% T (ST); 1% L + 1% T (LT) and 0.67% S + 0.67% L + 0.67% T (SLT).
Findings
The proximate composition of the egg yolk was not changed to the supplementation of lipid sources added in quail diet. The total replacement of soybean oil by shark liver oil reduced the cholesterol content in the yolk by 19% (T = 282.97 mg cholesterol/100 g egg) and the addition of flaxseed oil produced eggs with greater amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) (LS = 18.32%). The treatments with flaxseed oil and its mixtures (soybean oil + flaxseed oil and flaxseed oil + shark liver oil) effectively contributed to reducing the ω-6:ω-3 ratio and enriching the quail eggs with PUFAs, especially linolenic acid (18: 3n3c) and EPA (20: 5n3c).
Originality/value
Thus, manipulation in the diet of quails enriched the content of essential PUFAs and reduced the cholesterol content in the yolk. The flaxseed oil was the lipid source that influenced to improve the quality of the egg yolk. These results have practical applicability for the quail egg industry.

Abstract
Despite its central role in the influence process, power has largely been overlooked by scholars seeking to understand global leaders' influence over their constituents. As a consequence, we currently have limited understanding of the varieties of power that global leaders hold, how power is exercised in global contexts, and what impact exercising power has in global organizations. The intended purpose of this chapter is to mobilize research on this important topic through systematic review. The review is organized around the following guiding questions: (i) how is power defined in global leadership research? (ii) what power bases do global leaders possess? (iii) how do global leaders exercise power? (iv) what factors influence global leaders' exercise of power? and (v) what are the outcomes of global leaders' exercise of power? Based on a synthesis of extant insights, this chapter develops a foundation for future research on power in global leadership by mapping critical knowledge gaps and outlining paths for further inquiry.

Abstract
Purpose
Nowadays, most of the software development processes still does not provide appropriate support for the development of secure systems. Rational Unified Process (RUP) is a well‐known software engineering process that provides a disciplined approach to assigning tasks and responsibilities; however, it has little support for development of secure systems. This work aims to present a proposal of RUP for the development of secure systems.
Design/methodology/approach
In order to obtain the proposed RUP, the authors consider security as a knowledge area (discipline) and they define workflow, activities and roles according to the architecture of process engineering Unified Method Architecture (UMA). A software development was used to assess qualitatively the extended RUP.
Findings
Based on the development, the authors find that the proposed process produces security requirements in a more systematic way and results in the definition of better system architecture.
Research limitations/implications
The proposed extension requires specific adaptation if other development processes such as agile process and waterfall are employed.
Practical implications
The extension facilitates, the management of execution, and control of the activities and tasks related to security and the development teams can benefit by constructing better quality software.
Originality/value
The originality of the paper is the proposal of extension to RUP in order to consider security in a disciplined and organized way.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to discuss the role of data in a disaster and important reconstruction process currently undergoing in Portugal.
Design/methodology/approach
The consequences resulting from the wildfires of 2017 and 2018 are the scope of this research paper. The main goal is to understand the role of data, namely, in terms of identifying existing usage, the derived problems and possible improvements. The given topic will be researched targeting secondary sources. The sources include official reports, legal proceedings and relevant newspaper articles.
Findings
In the course of the work, it was possible to identify some important data related pitfalls. Different levels are considered: information prior to extreme events; access to information during the wildfire events; and the problems observed in the aftermath, when tackling reconstruction processes. Civil protection policies in Portugal are failing to integrate population in their socio-technical arrangements.
Research limitations/implications
Important implications can derive by the ongoing investigations and trials enduring in Portuguese justice. This is a process receiving strong media coverage, enacting major revisions to the legal framework and to public policies.
Social implications
Positive social implications may be derived from a stronger focus on transparency and accountability by public authorities. To achieve that data/information must be perceived in a completely different way, aiming at the public good. For the state, data ownership should not constitute the primary goal. Lack of data and transparency has been undermining social relations in the affected areas.
Originality/value
The literature on forest fires is vast, although there are little concerns on the role of data to improve policymaking and to produce positive social impacts, especially in the aftermath of catastrophes. The Portuguese example underlines how information sharing and transparency are important to safeguard social bonds.
