Abstract
This paper examines the evolution of Intellectual Property (IP) commercialization in historical perspective. IP Law imposes an incentive structure that determines the extent of societal investment in those assets. From their inception at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, IP has expanded due to the introduction of new technologies. Property rights allocation over these assets has traditionally been assigned to governments centralizing the recognition of such property. For a long period of time, government intervention was critical to allow IP commercialization; hence, the political economy of IP was dictated by the prevailing ideology of policymakers in favor or against market transactions. The resulting clash of ideologies has marked the position of developing countries seeking exclusions from open IP commercialization to obtain temporary relief from foreign competition of technology producing countries, as well as that of industrialized countries, seeking to export their technologies overseas. The emergence of blockchain technology, as a decentralized transaction exchange protocol that makes intermediary centralized institutions (i.e. governments) certifying IP irrelevant over a large portion of intellectual property (i.e., trade secrets and copyrights) will create revolutionary institutions facilitating IP commercialization, such as NFTs. We examine this historical evolution in the context of legal institutions governing intellectual property transactions and technology transfer.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to provide evidence on the role of tenure as a moderator of the effects of job insecurity (JI) and employability on turnover intentions and absenteeism and will demonstrate its importance in personnel research and theorization.
Design/methodology/approach
Data from a sample of client service representatives of a Peruvian call centre (n=268) were analysed. Tests of hypotheses targeted the intact group as a whole and divided into short (3–10 months), medium (11–14 months) and long job tenure groups (15–37 months).
Findings
Results of general linear models revealed that the effects of JI on turnover intention observed in the intact group were aligned with those seen within each of the tenure groups. However, this was not the case for the effects of JI on absenteeism or the effects of employability on turnover intention and absenteeism. A comparison of results of various regression models indicated that the effects of JI and employability on absenteeism differed in meaningful ways across the intact group and the tenure groups.
Research limitations/implications
The evidence does not reveal whether the observed differences stem from dynamic personnel selection processes or whether they express different relationships between the variables at various stages of an employee’s trajectory in an organization.
Practical implications
Human resource managers at call centres will be stimulated to re-evaluate the costs and benefits of promoting tenure, and journal editors will have to consider requesting the inclusion of tenure as a variable in studies focussing on organizations with high turnover.
Originality/value
This study is the first to prove that the effects of JI and employability on turnover intention and absenteeism vary across job tenure levels. It also shows the importance of addressing tenure in personnel research and theorization.

En este artículo se desea proporcionar evidencia sobre el rol de la antigüedad como moderador de los efectos de la inseguridad en el trabajo y la empleabilidad sobre las intenciones de irse y el ausentismo y demostrar su importancia en la teorización e investigación sobre el personal.
Diseño/metodología/enfoque
Se analizó datos de una muestra de representantes de servicios al cliente de un centro de llamadas peruano (n=268). Las pruebas de hipótesis abordaron al grupo intacto como un todo y dividido en grupos de antigüedad corta (3–10 meses), media (11–14 meses) y larga (15–37 meses).
Hallazgos
Los resultados de modelos lineales generales revelaron que los efectos de la inseguridad en el trabajo sobre la intención de irse observados en el grupo intacto estaban alineados con aquellos vistos dentro de cada grupo de antigüedad. Sin embargo, este no era el caso de los efectos de la inseguridad en el trabajo sobre el ausentismo o los efectos de la empleabilidad sobre la intención de irse y el ausentismo. Una comparación de los resultados de varios modelos de regresión indicaron que los efectos de la inseguridad en el trabajo y la empleabilidad sobre el ausentismo diferían de manera significativa entre el grupo intacto y los grupos de antigüedad.
Limitaciones de la investigación
La evidencia no indica si las diferencias observadas provienen de procesos dinámicos de selección del personal o si expresan relaciones diferentes entre las variables en diversos momentos de la trayectoria del empleado en la organización.
Implicancias prácticas
Los gerentes de recursos humanos en centros de llamadas serán estimulados a reevaluar los costos y beneficios de promover la antigüedad y los editores de revistas científicas tendrán que considerar pedir la inclusión de la antigüedad como una variable en los estudios enfocados en organizaciones con altas tasas de rotación de personal.
Originalidad/valor
Este estudio es el primero en demostrar que los efectos de la inseguridad en el trabajo y la empleabilidad sobre las intenciones de irse y el ausentismo varían a través de niveles de antigüedad del personal. También muestran la importancia de abordar la antigüedad en la teorización e investigación sobre el personal.

Abstract
Purpose
Call centers generate stress and absenteeism in staff and the literature suggests that people-oriented leadership is the right way of supervision for such a situation. This study compared its effects versus those of other types of leadership.
Methodology
Absentee data of 379 representatives of customer services of a Peruvian call center were analyzed and the representatives answered a questionnaire about the Framework of Values in Competition and its four types of leadership. Day and night work shifts were compared.
Results
It was observed that absenteeism declines with people-oriented leadership, although only during the day shift, and the addition of leadership oriented to change, results and control devalues models.
Limitations/implications
Future studies should cover the performance of the worker. The findings suggest a need to re-focus the theoretical focus on environmental contingencies that affect leadership effectiveness.
Originality/value
Leadership theorists will ask themselves in what circumstances the multiple leadership is effective. Call center managers will appreciate the organizational value of people-oriented leadership at the first level of supervision.

Abstract
Purpose: This chapter explores the current hybridization between true crime and nonfiction investigative documentaries on Video on Demand (VOD) platforms. It would seem necessary to distinguish true crime productions from long-form journalistic documentaries in order to avoid confusion between different products that do not pursue the same ends, such as audiovisual products with highly emotive and engaging components versus a journalistic approach to the truth about what happened. Methodology/approach: The analysis is based on the specific theory of true crime developed by Punnett, who provides genuine narrative codes (Justice, Subversive, Geographic, Forensic, Vocative, and Folkloric) for true crime to distinguish it from the formal conventions and social objectives of journalistic documentaries. The case study (El crimen de Alcàsser) was selected because of its potential to drive a detailed and in-depth study on one of the most traumatic crimes in the country’s recent history: the kidnapping, rape, torture, and killing of three teenagers in 1992. Findings: Several scholars have identified journalistic elements in true crime productions in the digital context, adopted in an attempt to distance them from the true crime tradition of appealing to primitive instincts. Although it has been perceived also as a renewed formula for journalism to reach a wide audience and mainstream success, it banishes journalism from its origin and goals: to guarantee the citizenship’s right to be truly informed about crime. In this way, journalistic documentaries inspired by real crimes may play a crucial role in a democratic society, while true crime only exploits the empathy of viewers and places them in the active participation of determining the suspect-protagonist’s guilt as a mode of “clickable” entertainment in the digital culture. Research limitations: This is the first in a series of studies within a broader research project on true crime documentaries released on the VOD platforms in Spain. The findings are, in this case, preliminary. The analysis needs additional testing before its utility can be reasonably determined and a theory about true crime made in Spain could be developed. Originality: First, there is no specific research in the field of true crime in Spain, although crime stories already enjoyed a prominent place in Spain’s conventional TV programming. Second, the Punnett analysis model introduces an interesting way to complement existing theoretical references about the connections between true crime and journalism.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to analyse Peruvian cuisine in the context of visitors’ overall experience, focusing on the loyalty of tourists in terms of gastronomy, their satisfaction with the destination, and the overall image.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were obtained from tourists who visited Lima (Peru). Structural equation modeling was used to verify the hypothesized relationships.
Findings
The results obtained confirm that satisfaction and appreciation, such as quality, have a positive influence on tourists’ loyalty and, therefore, they recommend and express their desire to come back to this destination. The traditional gastronomy of Lima stands out as a prominent factor on overall experience.
Research limitations/implications
This paper helps the managers of cities in their decisions to improve the satisfaction and seek loyalty of those who visit a city, emphasizes the role of gastronomy.
Practical implications
The results obtained in this research can be used for the establishment of new strategies for the promotion of the destination in terms of tourism and traditional food.
Originality/value
The gastronomy in Lima, (Peru) is recognized worldwide, as well as a stimulus for tourism because it increases the number of visits to the destination. Several studies carried out in these types of destinations have shown the existence of a relationship between gastronomy, overall experience, satisfaction and loyalty. However, there are no previous studies carried out in Lima that sustain this relationship. This work makes a contribution that completes the academic literature on the study of the emotional bonds between Peruvian gastronomy and the tourist who visits it and its behaviour.

Abstract
Purpose
Recent research in higher education has pointed out that personalized e-learning through the use of learning management systems, such as Moodle, improves the academic results of students and facilitates the detection of at-risk students.
Design/methodology/approach
A sample of 124 students following the Degree in Health Sciences at the University of Burgos participated in this study. The objectives were as follows: to verify whether the use of a Moodle-based personalized e-learning system will predict the learning outcomes of students and the use of effective learning behaviour patterns and to study whether it will increase student satisfaction with teaching practice.
Findings
The use of a Moodle-based personalized e-learning system that included problem-based learning (PBL) methodology predicted the learning outcomes by 42.3 per cent, especially with regard to the results of the quizzes. In addition, it predicted effective behavioural patterns by 74.2 per cent. Increased student satisfaction levels were also identified through the conceptual feedback provided by the teacher, arguably because it facilitated a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
Research limitations/implications
The results of this work should be treated with caution, because of the sample size and the specificity of the branch of knowledge of the students, as well as the design type. Future studies will be directed at increasing the size of the sample and the diversity of the qualifications.
Originality/value
Learning methodology in the twenty-first century has to be guided towards carefully structured work from the pedagogic point of view in the learning management systems allowing for process-oriented feedback and PBL both included in personalized e-learning systems.

Food insecurity in the Latin American region has become a complex problem that significantly impacts people's physical and mental well-being. The factors causing food insecurity are varied, ranging from social, political, and economic causes. Ensuring access to food is not a task with limited responsibilities; on the contrary, both public and private institutions must contribute to creating sustainable and innovative solutions. In general, it is necessary to ensure that the food system flows correctly, ensuring the availability of balanced and nutritious food for the diet of the inhabitants of a given nation. Alternative solutions apart from the government's help include sustainable cultivation, finger millet, and close cooperation with the farmers from the agriculture sector. The present research aims to consolidate theoretical information on the Latin American situation and seek the leading solutions of the parties involved.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to develop and present the concept of corporate supply chain responsibility (CSCR). CSCR provides a guide for developing a mutually beneficial relationship between firms and suppliers. Moreover, some interesting research propositions are developed which can be tested in future research. In addition, implementation guidelines are presented and finally, the potential benefits for the whole supply chain are also discussed.
Design/methodology/approach
An exhaustive literature review is carried out to support the proposed CSCR framework and research propositions.
Findings
The literature review supports the proposed CSCR framework and the research propositions, the concept of CSCR is defined and finally, CSCR implementation guidelines are also given.
Research limitations/implications
This study only presents the CSCR model, but does not test the model. This is a limitation that should be addressed in future research.
Practical implications
The CSCR model, when empirically tested, can be useful as an evaluation tool to measure the CSCR performance level of a firm at a given point in time.
Social implications
The paper enforces social responsibility which has direct social implications.
Originality/value
This paper develops and presents the CSCR framework and research propositions, which provides a guide for developing a mutually beneficial relationship between firms and suppliers. In addition, CSCR implementation guidelines for practitioners are also given.
